The Bible is the guide for how to live a life of godliness. God knows all things and created all the laws of physics and biology. We can glorify God by learning about his creation.
Most children were home-schooled. The mother took on the role of primary educator, and the fathers contributed as well. Parents were responsible for how their children turned out.
There are also instances in which Daniel went to a school. He was a part of the king's court - only the nobility received special education.
And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
To gain true knowledge, start with the literature and wisdom of the Bible.
Read the Bible as a part of your daily habit. Knowing God gives you the advantage of the knowledge that leads to salvation. Study hard, and God's words will always pay dividends.
When you take discipline and instruction of the Lord, you are gifted with an otherworldly intelligence. Your love and kindness will show up in words and deeds as you progress through life.
Be zealous for God, and let the Holy Spirit guide you through your quest to acquire knowledge about the word of God.
Bible Scriptures are profitable for teaching - pass the knowledge diligently to your children.
