From Genesis 1, we see that God created men and women equally and in His image. This shines a light on the equality of the sexes. When Eve was made, she was granted the role and duty of submitting to Adam by being his helper. Throughout the Old Testament, women play an essential role in Israel's religious life.
Jesus was keen to show love and respect for women. Jesus ensured to include them in His audiences, used images and illustrations familiar to them, and tailor-made His teaching to suit them. He also touched women when healing them and allowed them to touch Him, even though it was not custom. And after His resurrection, Jesus appeared first to Mary Magdalene and tasked her with announcing His resurrection.
God has good plans for women. God promises women of a new beginning from their past as He causes all things to work for good to those that love Him. He also shows His love for them through Christ. Also, the Lord, through His Holy Spirit, has made His home in them.
All this goes to show that God holds women in high regard. To illustrate this, here are 45 encouraging Bible verses for women to read:
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Regardless of your looks or what you possess, your commitment to the Lord is what cuts it.
