From the beginning of time, God made all men equal. The rich and the poor were truly equal in the eyes of God. All life is valuable and worthy of God's love.

The main lesson here is - you should always love your neighbor as yourself. All Christ-followers are baptized into Jesus Christ's family. It doesn't matter if you have finer clothing, a gold ring, or a fancy house. We are all brothers and sisters in the eyes of God. It's imperative to God for mankind to live in the knowledge of the truth - that Jesus Christ redeemed us on the cross.
