The Bible is filled with verses about forgiveness of others. Before He died, Jesus said "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.".
The world is filled with flawed people that make awful mistakes. This can be exemplified through many stories in the Bible.
Adam was the first man. But he disobeyed God and ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
David loved God and was a man after God's own heart. But he was also an adulterer and had Uriah the Hittite killed to cover up his sin.
Paul spread the gospel to millions, but he was a Pharisee who persecuted Christians until Jesus intervened in his life.
